This Week In Music (Nov 29th - Dec 2nd)

I know it's not a complete week, but I thought I would give a quick update of all that's happened this week so far, and let you know what kind of news you're going to be looking out for. If you would like to know updates about certain bands, let me know and I'll make a note to keep tabs on them.

(November 29th)
Starting on this day you could go over to Spin.com to hear Motion City Soundtrack's new song, "Her Words Destroyed My Planet". The track comes off of their upcoming album, My Dinosaur Life which is expected to be released January 19th on Columbia Records.

(November 30th)
If you are to go over to eBay and check out the Nine Inch Nails profile, you will notice that they are selling "a large selection of gear and equipment". The band played their last show in September. Equipment ranges from guitars, drums, and amps to guitar chords, cases, pedal boards, and everything in between.

Family Force 5's bassist/vocalist Joshua "Fatty" Olds was taken to the hospital with kidney troubles. The last news available is that he was taken out of the ER and up to the ICU saying that his condition was serious. For coverage up until now check this article. We'll keep you posted.

Dance-punk band The Audition started tracking vocals for their upcoming fourth full length LP.

forgetters have scheduled their first tour with a sting of east coast dates. Why is this relevant? Forgetters is fronted by former Jawbreaker and Jets To Brazil frontman Blake Schwarzenbach. The band is also comprised of Caroline Paquita on bass and ex-Against Me! drummer Kevin Mahon. It was confirmed on Blake's facebook status.

According to a series of tweets former Chiodos frontman, Craig Owens, entered the studio with John Feldman to record an album. It has been speculated that Pete Wentz is going to play bass for Owens. Word still hasn't come from Chiodos who are still clueless that their career is doomed.

The Isle Of Wright Festival is going to host The Strokes' first show in nearly four years. You can find the other headlines on the Isle Of Wright Festival's website. The band took a break when their frontman, Julian Casablancas went to work on his solo debut, which was released in November.

(December 1st)
The Bamboozle Festival has announced their headliners: Weezer and Paramore. East Rutherford, New Jersey is going to be rocking May 1st and 2nd when the festival is in full swing. Check back often and we'll let you know which other bands are confirmed to play the festival.

Scary Kids Scaring Kids officially announced their break-up. The band cites them "growing apart" as friends as the reason for the break-up. You can read all of the information in keyboardist Pouyan Afkary's blog.

Coheed And Cambria announced that they finished up tracking their new record, which has yet to set a release date.

Dashboard Confessional was announced as support on Bon Jovi's spring tour. The tour crosses America with stops on both coasts and the midwest. Dashboard will be touring on Alter The Ending, which was released last month.

Every Avenue was confirmed for the 2010 AP Tour. Check back often to see if we care. As of right now, we don't.

New Found Glory frontman Jordan Pundik's mother was confirmed to be on a list to need a heart transplant. A foundation has been founded to help provide medical costs, because she is without health insurance. Check out the band's website for more information.

(December 2nd)
She and Him have finished recording their sophomore record, which will be titled Volume Two.

The Grammy nominees have been announced. There are some really refreshing nominees mixed in with the usual shit. Watch for it on January 31st to see the winners. We'll keep you updated on who will be performing.
