Some "FINAL" news (get it?)

There have only been a few small music news bites out there, so this is what we know:

Guitar World recently reported that Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeath will be sharing a stage together this summer. Intrigued? You should be. All the info you need is right here.

There were a few rumors going around that there was going to be another single band centered Rock Band game, and it has been confirmed that they will be making a Green Day: Rock Band.

We don't know a lot yet, obviously no setlist, but Harmonix released this press release.

It has been confirmed that AFI and Something Corporate will be headlining the two dates of Bamboozle California (formally known as Bamboozle Left). This will be Something Corporate's first show in nearly six years.

Manchester Orchestra will be posting acoustic covers of every song off their album Mean Everything To Nothing once a day until Christmas.

The Academy Is... will be celebrating the five year anniversary of their album Almost Here. They haven't done anything good since.

Underground band The Number 12 Looks Like You have officially disbanded. This comes less than a year after they were called "the next big thing".

Old school band The Juliana Theory have posted two new updates. They are going to be playing a reunion show for the anniversary of their release, Emotion Is Dead. Also, frontman Brett Detar has announced that he is forming a solo project.

Finally, we have some big news that Red Hot Chili Peppers' guitarist John Frusciante has apparently left the band.
